Absolutely! We wouldn’t let you or your child touch anything  that we wouldn’t put in our mouths. The product that we use is made from seaweed, hypo-allergenic, and 100% non-toxic. We only use materials that do not contain free silicates (a known carcinogen in cheap Alginate).

This seaweed based product is gentle and hypoallergenic. Approved for body casting for children and adults. Baby or children’s hands/feet are cast using a 3 min. color changing cream. Setting time is about sixty seconds.

NO, not at all. All materials that come in contact with your child’s skin are completely non-toxic. The process itself is very gentle. Your child is required to submerge their hand/foot into the moulding gel. It will then take approximately 60 seconds for the gel to set, creating a perfect mould of your baby or child’s hand or foot.

Babies can be awake or asleep, for the most part there is no issue as the product we use for babies cures up pretty quickly.

The ideal time to capture your pregnancy is between 32-38 weeks. It is important that your belly a nice size and round for the casting, this ensure a really nice final product.

The child should be at least 4-5 years old, however it may depend on the child. Children must be able to sit through the entire casting, which will be approximately 8-20 minutes.

Child has to be at least 3 days old to get a hand cast and to be three years or younger to get the feet casts. Other than that there is no age requirement

YES! We offer mobile service and appointments in our home. Appointments are necessary. We recommend you schedule your appointment at least a couple days in advance. A travel fee of 1.05 cents per km may apply if you are located outside our regular service area.

Your casting made from casting stone will be ready in 5 to 10 weeks, depending on the time of the year, the type sculpture and finish you have selected, and the type of base or frame to be used. Proper drying time is very important. Your sculpture must be completely dry before finishes and sealant can be applied. Other casting materials can take 10 to 16 weeks, depending on the kind of casting. When necessary we may be able to rush the completion. Please schedule as early as possible for special occasions such as Weddings, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and Holidays. Up front we will discuss the delivery date and contact you when your casting is completed.

Old, washable clothing is recommended—just in case. The process can be messy if a baby twists or kicks. We provide towels, plastic, and a drop cloth to catch any spills. We have refined the process so that very little clean up is needed. Also, if you are getting a body part cast that is usually clothed, try not to wear tight fitting clothing before our visit so we will not have to wait for the marks or indentations to disappear. This could take up to an hour or more! Things to think about—ring and wrist watch indentations, sock lines, bra lines, underwear lines, waistband lines, and tight belt lines … Skin: Do not put makeup on if you are getting a face cast done. The makeup will transfer into the cast and then onto the finished piece.

We are very flexible on appointment times and will try to meet your schedule. We offer appointments days and evenings to come to your home. We can also come to the hospital, hospice, or funeral home. Pre- and post-surgery, document a weight loss, terminal illness, awards, celebrity, bodybuilding, if you can imagine it, we probably can cast it.

We accept all forms of major credit and debit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. We also have the option to use PayPal Payments and we  accept Cash. Also we only require 50% of the total on the appointment date and the remaining balance when the casting is completed. 

We ask that you please reschedule or cancel at least 1 day before the beginning of your appointment or you may be charged a cancellation fee of $40.00.

As a unique work of art. It will break if dropped. Do not use any cleaning liquids or water. Dust carefully with a cloth. Keep your sculpture away from extreme heat or cold and away from damp areas.

Yes. It can be a lot of fun for a group to have a baby hand/foot casting party. We bring all the materials for the group. This can be an unforgettable bonding experience for you, your friends, and your family. You can even involve your older children in the process. The best time to have baby hand casting party is when the babies are still quite young, small, and sleep a lot. This makes the process with many babies much easier; the baby who is relaxed can be cast and the restless ones can wait until they calm down. A minimum of 5 baby hand/foot castings are required for a group session at your location.
Lifecasting parties can be organized for mother and toddler groups.

Buying a kit and having a go yourself is an option you might be considering. Maybe it looks like a cheaper option? Maybe you think it will be fun? Unfortunately, DIY kits usually end up an expensive and unsuccessful waste of time & money.In our opinion DIY lifecasting kits are not a good idea. The materials they supply are usually cheap & hard to work with. The end result is often a lot of mess and no actual finished item! Lifecasting takes a lot of practice and the chances of achieving the results they advertise are very slim.If you want to have make a mess, get frustrated, waste money, risk upsetting your baby & end up with a mediocre result…then give it a go! It’s like everything in life…we can take photos with our camera – but this does not make me a photographer!!!
